On May 20th, the STC-Group welcomed a delegation of 30 European education attachés. Because the Netherlands currently holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union, the attachés were invited to learn about the Dutch educational system and the STC-group, being a unique vertical vocational educational institute, in particular. One main section of the program was a successful ‘meet & greet’ with students and teachers of all vocational education levels within the STC-Group. During this meet & greet, the attachés discussed matters such as internships, collaboration between education and industry, applied research and student flow. The program was concluded with a tour through the unique simulator park.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the STC Training & Consultancy location Wilhelminakade. The attachés were introduced to a selection of simulators, among which the tug simulator, and received information about the Centres for Vocational Innovation and cooperation between various European inland-shipping schools. The day was completed with a Spido-harbour cruise, providing a real impression of the Port of Rotterdam.
