Enter blockchain! According to both IT and industry experts, blockchain has huge potential. Blockchain is a revolutionary new way to make transactions transparent using distributed ledger technology. Much of the possibilities are yet to be explored, while there are hardly any use cases at the moment. During this masterclass we’ll present you a sneak preview of what is about to come to the port and shipping industry.

• Discussion, where participants are challenged to consider blockchain solutions and how blockchain will impact existing ways of working.
The venue for this Summer masterclass is excellently located in the heart of Rotterdam, at the Maritime Museum Rotterdam.
The masterclass is a co-production of YoungShip Rotterdam, STC-Group and Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) to enhance the knowledge exchange between business, education and governments. This event is especially interesting for (Young) Professionals and students with a passion for the maritime sector as well as lecturers of education institutes such as the Shipping and Transport College, Rotterdam Mainport University, Netherlands Maritime University, the MSc program Maritime Economics & Logistics, ICS members and students as well as other universities in Rotterdam and surroundings.
